ABOUT THIS PROJECT
These soon to be empty nesters finally decided that it was time to update their 1970's home and after finding her passion to become a professional baker, she was in need of a functional, well-appointed space to make her delicious bread and pastries. We paid special attention to the materials and finishes in the kitchen to ensure durability (main request was to be able to place hot pans directly on the island) while keeping the space atheistically pleasing. In the process they found other areas of the home were in need of improvement both functionally and aesthetically. We removed a brick double-sided fireplace (which was no small feat) to create a beautiful great room for ease of baking, entertaining and communing. This project quickly turned into a complete home remodel where we created beautiful arched doorways, a new laundry/ mud room, powder bath, dining room, office, guest and main bedroom suite. We also added some new exterior architectural details and voila' ~ you have a new home! Our clients are thrilled + we even got approval from their sweet pup Leo! |
