Michelle Thomas, ASID
Founder + Principal Designer

Michelle brings a well-honed eye to Thomas Designs and as a Bay Area native who travels extensively, her designs achieve a balanced blend of style and sustainability (while keeping a sense of humor). Michelle is a proud member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council and ASID. ​​

After graduating from design school, Michelle has never looked back, immersing herself in the industry at every turn. She spent her first designing years working for some of the top Bay Area firms and in 2009 she launched her first business Thomas Designs. She was fortunate to be able to blend her extensive design experience and previous customer service backgrounds. These strengths and her life-long passion for Architecture, Art and Eco-friendly materials lend a special and unique perspective to her work. With over two decades of experience, Michelle and her team take pride in establishing long term relationships by offering inspired eco-conscience design solutions for all of their clients.  When Michelle is not designing, you're likely to find her hiking in Tilden with her husband and rescue pup, volunteering at the local House Rabbit Society or scuba diving in warm Caribbean waters.

Bowie
Chief Executive Dog

Bowie takes his job very seriously as CED by welcoming everyone into the studio and never misses a chance to oversee the team's project work. Originally from Korea, Bowie is enjoying all that the Bay Area has to offer complete with long walks on the beach, a good nap (or two) and traveling with his humans.
